Florida Atlantic University police are investigating a death in a dorm at the Boca Raton campus.
Police responded to a medical emergency around 3 p.m. Thursday at the FAU Indian River Tower resident hall.
The person was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a FAU official.

According to the University Press, the Indian River Tower residence hall was blocked off from late afternoon to early evening.
Only residents were allowed into the hall.
According to police, there is no public safety concern to the university.
