Police investigating occupied residential burglary in Boca Raton

Police are searching for a suspect they say burglarized  an occupied Boca Raton home Saturday night.

The incident happened shortly after 10 p.m. in the 200 block of South Country Club Boulevard. 

The victims told police they were awakened by a male  in their bedroom. The suspect ransacked the bedroom, battered the husband and wife and fled with cash and jewelry. 

Detectives believe the suspect entered the home through an unlocked sliding door. 

The suspect is described as 6 foot 4, thin build, wearing all black clothing and a black "fishing" mask and possibly long dread locks tied back.
