BOCA RATON, Fla. — Drivers should avoid an area of Federal Highway in Boca Raton because of flooded streets Monday morning.
Police tweeted just after 2 a.m. that a vehicle hit a hydrant, causing flooding at 2000 North Federal Highway.
Pictures at the scene just after 4 a.m. show a substantial amount of water flowing through the street with road closed signs posted.
Police said eastbound 20th Street is also closed to traffic.
One southbound lane was open just after 4:30 a.m.
