BOCA RATON, Fla. — A woman was driving on Interstate 95 near the Spanish River Boulevard exit in Boca Raton when she spotted an iguana and decided to stop and make sure the reptile was not going to get run over or cause a wreck.
The good Samaritan, Cintia Amstalden, posted the story on her Facebook page.
Amstalden said she could not catch the iguana by herself, but some men saw her on the highway and stopped to see if she was OK. That's when they realized she was trying to save the iguana.
According to Amstalden, the men risked their lives to stop traffic and save the iguana, which was placed in a grassy area off the road.
