The Boynton Beach Public Library will close for 30 days starting Thursday evening. The library will be moving to a temporary location at 115 N Federal Hwy while the construction for the Town Square project is going one.
The library staff will have to move 7,000-10,000 items to the new temporary location according to library director Craig Clark.
Clark said they will use about 40 bookshelves to transport the various items to the temporary location.
David Marzahn who uses the library several times a week said he will miss the easy access for the next month.
“I kind of depend on having this access,” he said.
Clark said the libraries in West Boynton and Lantana are open and working with Boynton while they are closed.
There will be about 100,000 items in storage that people can make requests for.
When the town square project is finished the library will share a building with City Hall.
The library will close at 8:30 pm Thursday, July 12th and reopen Monday, August 13th.
