Boynton Beach Police Department officials swore in their new leader on Tuesday.
Chief Michael Gregory took the oath in front of a room full of supporters.
Former colleagues at the Fort Lauderdale Police Department and officers from Miami showed up to the ceremony.
Gregory said he is ready to get involved in the community and the next 30 days will be about listening to the community and the city leaders.
