BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. — A man was arrested after dragging a Boynton Beach police officer earlier this month with his car, according to police.
The incident happened on Jan. 17 during a traffic stop.
Officials said Timothy Tristan Jones, 47, of Boynton Beach pinned the officer inside his car and started driving away, dragging the female officer 350 feet down the road before she could free herself.
The officer sustained road rash injuries and was treated at a local hospital.
The name of the officer was not released, pursuant to Marsy's Law.
Jones was charged with aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer with a vehicle, aggravated fleeing and eluding, resisting arrest with violence and habitual traffic offender.
He surrendered at the Palm Beach County Jail.
