BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. — Boynton Beach police are investigating a deadly traffic crash on Christmas Eve.

Police say the wreck happened around 2:30 p.m. Monday in 1000 block of West Gateway Boulevard, and involved a motorcycle and Ford Scape.
The motorcyclist, a male who has not been identified, has died, according to police.
Investigators say a black 2007 Honda was traveling west on West Gateway Blvd. as an orange Ford Scape was heading east, attempting to turn north into a Publix parking lot.
According to witnesses, the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it struck the SUV.
All westbound lanes of Gateway Boulevard were shut down at High Ridge Road for several hours.
The motorcyclist, a white man in his 20s was ejected and died from his injuries. His name has not been released.
The driver of the SUV, identified as Patricia Watts, 66, and her passenger, Kenneth Watts, also 66, were not seriously injured, officials said.
The investigation is ongoing.
