Kids get to 'Shop With A Cop'

Posted

21 kids teamed up with police officers to go on a shopping spree in Boynton Beach Wednesday.

Each child received $100 to spend at Wal-Mart for the annual ‘Shop With A Cop’ event.

Most of the kids bought presents for their siblings and parents on top of a few things for themselves.

"It was fun, it was exciting. This has never happened to me before," said Tatiana Davis who attends Galaxy Elementary School.

Police officers say this is a great way to build a positive relationship with the community. Wal-Mart and the Kiwanis Club donated money for today's event.
