Mom, 7 kids now homeless

Posted

Just 14 days before Christmas and Kimberly Adams tries to hold back the tears. The mom of seven is now calling a hotel home.

"It's hard not being able to assure them that they are going to have somewhere to stay," said Kimberly.

Her house badly damaged from a weekend fire. She just arrived home Sunday from shopping when she was greeted by the fire department in her driveway. "The fire department guys said is your name Kim, we've been looking for you. Your house caught on fire."

The good news is none of her kids were at home. Kim and her kids have lost everything. Right down to the their Christmas tree. But she's hanging on to hope as area churches and a school are collecting clothes for them.

"It's good to know that people out there still care." She's thankful for the good Samaritans. "Anything people can give, we need it. we don't have anything."
