Police said a woman was robbed at gunpoint Monday night in the Boynton Beach Mall parking lot.
The victim told police the incident occurred in the parking lot outside Macy’s around 8:45 p.m.
The victim said a man pointed a silver handgun at her and demanded her purse.
She said he came from a gray older-model Nissan Altima 2-door coupe that was parked next to her car.
A nearby pedestrian came to the victim’s aid during the incident. She said the robber also pointed the handgun at the pedestrian, who immediately backed away.
Police said the two victims were not injured during the robbery.
The man was last seen heading southbound through the mall parking lot towards Old Boynton Road.
The attacker was described as a black man wearing a white tank top, blue jeans, white baseball hat, sunglasses and a gray bandana covering his nose and mouth.
