A driver was critically injured Thursday morning after his vehicle hit a pole in suburban Boynton Beach.

According to a Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office report, a 2009 Honda 4D driven by Justin Issurdatt-Dat, 24, of suburban Boynton Beach, was heading northbound near the 8400 block of South Military Trail.

PBSO said Issurdatt-Dat was driving at a speed significantly higher than the posted speed limit.

He lost control after attempting to negotiate a right curve, striking a bus stop sign and then a wooden utility pole with its passenger's side.

PBSO said Issurdatt-Dat was not wearing a seatbelt and transported to Delray Medical Center with critical injuries.
