Church staff in Delray Beach counting their blessing after one of their members were almost injured when a tornado touched down.

It touched down near Saint Mary's Anglican Church near Atlantic
Avenue west of Congress Avenue.

The church has surveillance cameras. As soon as the electricity was restored, the church staff took a good look at the video, because they couldn't believe what happened this morning.

Just before 11am, the church administrative assistant said she was expecting a package delivery, when everything got crazy.

If you look at the video carefully, you see the man standing outside the church door. Then the furniture begins to move.

The church door opens and both of them struggle to get inside the door, trying to avoid getting sucked out by the tornado.

JP Listick, the administrative assistant said, "I truly believe the Lord is with us. We are just ok. We needed to clean up this yard anyway.

Bishop Bill Perkins Jr. told us, "I'm very fortunate that I was not in the driveway when the big palm tree fell and the other one snapped. Fortunate not the courtyard when it hit."

The church says about six trees were destroyed. And some tiles are missing from the church's roof.
