DELRAY BEACH, Fla. — Delray Beach’s Community Redevelopment Agency met Tuesday morning to discuss new transportation options in the city.
Last year, WPTV reported the city will be looking for alternatives to its current trolley system.
The current trolley system is the only transportation the city offers.
The CRA board is working to decide on adding a new transportation pilot program where people can order a ride through their phone on an app.
At Tuesday's meeting, the board decided to have the top two companies return and present their ideas on March 28.
Two proposals involve either a new trolley system or a new point-to-point system with golf cart-type cars.
The board has until April 30 before their contract expires with the current trolley system.
The board asked for the top two companies for each transportation system to come back on the 28th with a presentation.
