A man is dead, another in serious condition after three separate shootings in Delray Beach.

The three incidents happened within two hours and a half mile from each other.

Police say it's too soon to know if the first two shootings are related, but say the third is not related.

Neighbors said it could have been much worse.

Naomi Palmer says she's lucky to be alive after gunfire in her Delray Beach neighborhood on 12th Ave.

"Heard pow, pow,pow and then I looked around and the next thing I know debris went up in my face."

She says a stray bullet hit her front door and then went right inside to the chair she sits in everyday.

"I would have been sitting right there where it came in."

Palmer lives next door to where the first of three shootings happened. Officers say they received reports of gun shots around noon, finding a man with gunshot wounds also apparently hit by an SUV. He was transported to Delray Medical Center where he is in serious condition.

An hour and a half later, another man shows up at the Delray Beach fire station on Atlantic Ave with gunshot wound. He later died.

Just twenty minutes after, one more report of shots fired on 11th Avenue  and 3rd Street. This time only a home and cars were hit.

"This is a lot for Delray Beach. We don't usually have this many shootings in this short of a time, so detectives are wondering whether they are related and how they are related and that's the question that they're asking," says Dani Moschella with Delray Beach Police.

Police said they are questioning two men who drove the SUV in the first shooting, but said they are not under arrest.
