Heavy rain has caused flooding problems at a suburban Boca Raton shopping center.
After near non-stop rain this past weekend, the Westwinds shopping center off Glades and US 441 was flooded. Shoppers said this flooding happens whenever there is heavy rain.
The busy parking lot became a maze for drivers who were looking for dry spots on Monday.
“Very few spots, if you can get one that isn’t in the flood zone.” said shopper Richard Diamond.
Some drivers who tried to drive through water became stuck and had to be towed.
Dominic’s II Pizza and Pasta said every time it floods, their business suffers because people cannot get to them.
Shoppers had to walk around the parking lot with their groceries from Publix.
“Where is the drainage, there is no drainage, why isn’t the landlord out here pumping?” asked Michael Landen.
WPTV reached out to the landlord about the flooding issue but have not yet heard back.
