PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — One family had a rude awakening Wednesday morning as a car slammed into the front of their home.
The St. Lucie Fire District posted photos of the incident on Twitter.
According to authorities, the car ran a stop sign and crashed into the home on Tulip Boulevard.

At 7:51 am units were dispatched to a MVC. One of the vehicles plunged into the side of a nearby home. Squad 17 is securing the house & Red Cross will assist the family of 5. Two people were transported from the vehicles with non-life-threatening injuries. pic.twitter.com/aBY3unaCSj
Authorities say two people were inside the home at the time of the incident, but none of them were hurt. The Red Cross has pledged to help them rebuild.
The two people in the car were taken to the hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.
Authorities say no arrest was made, however the driver that ran the stop sign was cited.
