Two people escaped injury after their home caught fire in northern St. Lucie County.
Neighbors called 9-1-1 after seeing flames coming through the roof at a home on 54 Ipanema Way in the Spanish Lakes Country Club off Turnpike Feeder Road.
Because the homes in the community are so close together, nearby residences were evacuated for a short time.
Only the one home was heavily damaged.
Investigators are looking into how the fire started.
