Fort Pierce police said early Wednesday morning Chedriyona Hayes has been found safe.

EARLIER STORY:
The child, Chedriyona Hayes, who is a student at Dan McCarty Middle School, was last seen at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Chedriyona was last seen wearing a neon green Dan McCarty Middle School t-shirt and blue jeans.
She is 5 feet, 7 inches and weighs about 130 pounds. Chedriyona, who lives on North 17th Street in Fort Pierce, was wearing a long weave pony tail, and may be carrying a tie dye backpack.
Detectives are investigating the case as a possible run-away situation.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
