FORT PIERCE, Fla. -- Fort Pierce police are investigating the death of a 12-year-old boy.
Police say the boy died Saturday at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center after he was found at his home not breathing.
Paramedics and officers responded to the boy's home just before 4 p.m. Saturday after receiving a 911 call about an unconscious child.
Paramedics performed CPR on the boy and transported him to the hospital.
The boy's home is in the 1200 block of North 32nd Street.
Detectives are working to determine an exact cause and manner of death.
At this time, police say there is not a concern of a suspect posing any danger to the community.
