A 30 year-old Ft. Pierce man was shot by an unknown assailant on his birthday Saturday night, according to police.
About 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Antwon Jackson and a friend were walking to their car along the 2900 block of Avenue K in Ft. Pierce when they were confronted by several men.
Both men ran in separate directions. The suspects caught Jackson and a fight ensued. Jackson was shot twice in the arm and the leg.
Jackson was rushed to the hospital for treatment of his injuries. There is no word on his condition.
