Fort Pierce police said a man was shot to death while he was walking along a road Sunday night.
In a news release, officers said the victim, identified as Anthony Guzman, 20, was walking southbound toward Delaware Avenue around 8 p.m. when three men approached him.
Officers said the attackers were wearing hoodie-style sweatshirts and black pants. One of the men started firing towards Guzman.
A driver in the area, who did not witness the shooting, spotted Guzman lying in the street. Police said the driver stopped to render aid, along with officers who later arrived.
Guzman was shot multiple times and transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
