Two men were arrested after two separate road rage incidents involving a gun on the Treasure Coast, according to the Martin County Sheriff's Office.

Officials say 29-year-old Charles Clarke III of Fort Pierce was arrested Friday along NW Goldenrod Road, after a woman reported to police that Clarke pulled a gun on her following a traffic incident.

The victim told deputies she accidently cut Clarke off and he became angry. Clarke told deputies that the victim instigated the matter intentionally cutting him off.

According to authorities, a gun and narcotics were found in Clarke's  vehicle. He was arrested after being positively identified by the victim, according to officials.

The second road range incident happened Saturday on Salerno Road in Stuart.

49-year-old Kevin Carey of Stuart was arrested after a motorcyclist told police Carey tailgated him for about a mile, forcing him to pull into a parking lot to get away from Carey. The victim said Carey then opened the door of his pickup truck, pointed a gun at him and drove away.

According to police, Carey was arrested after consistently changing his story about the incident.

Both Carey and Clarke were taken to the Martin County Jail and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Carey was released on $2,500 bond. Clarke's bond was $5,000, officials say.
