ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. -- Law enforcement officers from around St. Lucie County took part in a Special Olympics torch run Friday.

Officers carried the Special Olympics flame of home during the 45 minute run.

It started at Village Center Drive and ran to Commerce Center Drive.

Runners and escorts held a meet and greet with residents.

The torch will eventually make its way north to Orlando for the Special Olympics games in May.
