Police: Ex-boyfriend jailed for ramming car

A Fort Pierce man is behind bars after ramming his car into the car his ex-girlfriend was riding in, according to the Port St. Lucie Police Department. 

The incident happened Sunday around at 8:45 p.m. on Port St. Lucie Boulevard. 

25-year-old Miguel Gomez was driving when he noticed his ex-girlfriend in a car with another man. According to police, Gomez signaled for the man driving the car to pull over. The victim did not stop and Gomez chased him through a gas station parking lot and south on Floresta Drive. Gomez rammed the victim's car several times causing the victim's car to spin out of control. 

Gomez's car broke down after the final collision. 

Police arrested Gomez in the 700 block of SE Brookedge. 

No one was injured in the incident.
