ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. -- A Port St. Lucie man died Tuesday morning in a head-on vehicle crash in St. Lucie County.
Florida Highway Patrol says 40-year-old Nelson DeJeus Trinidad was traveling eastbound on Orange Avenue in a 2010 Toyota Camry at 6:38 a.m. when his vehicle entered the westbound lane and crashed into another vehicle.
Trinidad was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle, 51-year-old Antonio Zubieta Otero of Fort Pierce, suffered critical injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
