PORT. ST. LUCIE, Fla. — An injured small adult male manatee was rescued Wednesday by the FAU’s Harbor Branch Dolphin and Whale Stranding and Population Assessment Team with the assistance of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
The manatee was rescued in the North Fork of the St. Lucie River in Port St. Lucie, said FAU’s Harbor Branch in a tweet.

The manatee was transported to the Miami Seaquarium for rehabilitation.
