Port St. Lucie police are searching for a man they say burglarized the Treasure Coast Hospice Thrift Store in Port St. Lucie, Sunday.

The incident happened at 10:20 p.m. at 890 SW. St. Lucie West Blvd.

Police arrived at the scene and found the thrift store's front glass door smashed, as well as the front glass door of the neighboring business, FL Nails.

Surveillance video from the hospice thrift store shows a white male, approximately 6 feet 2 inches wearing a green hooded sweatshirt, gloves, blue jeans, black Nike tennis shoes and some type of a mask covering his face.

The video also captured the moment when the suspect threw a blunt object at the front glass, smashing the glass door and entering the store.

The suspect did not find any cash or items of value at the thrift store. He left the store and smashed the front door of FL Nails, but police said it doesn't appear he got anything from the business.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Port St. Lucie Police Department at 772-871-5001 or Treasure Coast Crime Stoppers at 1-800-273 TIPS.
