Port St. Lucie police are investigating a deadly shooting.
Officers were sent to 209 SW Chapman Avenue just before noon.
Police say Paul Winant, 31, was visiting a home owned by James Quaglia, 55, and his live-in girlfriend, 50-year-old Barbara Evans.
At some point there was an argument between the two men and it became violent when Quaglia pulled a handgun, according to police.
There was a struggle and when Winant gained control of the weapon Evans got involved, police say.
Winant ended up being shot in the torso and was taken to a hospital in critical condition where he later died.
Quaglia was also injured and hospitalized but does not have a gunshot wound, according to police.
Police say they are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the shooting.
