PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- Skimmers were removed from two gas pumps at a Port St. Lucie gas station on Tuesday.
A maintenance worker saw two suspects by a U-Haul truck messing with the pumps at the Chevron gas station at 1924 Gatlin Blvd. just before 3 p.m. Tuesday.
After the suspects left the area, the maintenance worker checked the pump and found the skimmers.
Police say the suspects did not break the tamper seal, rather they used a drill to remove the screws to open up the pumps.
The men are described as Latino males, about 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 7 inches, and one had a "5 o'clock shadow" on his face.
If you have information on this case, call the Port St. Lucie Police Department at 772-871-5001. If you see suspicious activity at a gas pump, call 911.
