A judge in St. Lucie County announced a date for the sentencing of Eriese Tisdale, the convicted killer of Sgt. Gary Morales.
Tisdale’s sentencing will occur on Jan. 15. at 9 a.m. in Fort Pierce.
A jury has already recommended to the judge that Tisdale be sentenced to death.

Morales was shot and killed during a traffic stop in Fort Pierce in February 2013.
Tisdale was found guilty in October on all four charges, first-degree murder, aggravated assault, possessing firearm as felon, fleeing law enforcement.
