You may hear loud sirens Thursday in parts of St. Lucie County.
St. Lucie County, Martin County, and FPL will be testing sirens within a 10-mile radius of the St. Lucie Nuclear Power Plant, according to a twitter post by the St. Lucie County government.

The test begins at noon Thursday.
Martin County officials say that before and after the sirens blare, a message will be broadcast on the sirens' public address system stating, "This is only a test."
