Fort Pierce Police, along with the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office SWAT Team, are on the scene of a man barricade inside a Fort Pierce apartment making suicide threats.
Police responded to the scene at the Timber Ridge Apartments at 6:39 p.m. Friday.
Tumblin Kling Rd. closed between US1 and Oleander.
Residents of the apartment complex have been evacuated for their safety and surrounding residents are asked to remain inside and away from the area, officials said.
Members of the SWAT Team and Crisis Negotiation Team are currently on scene assessing the situation.
