4 people hurt in two-vehicle rollover crash in Belle Glade

BELLE GLADE, Fla. — Four people were hurt, including a toddler, after a crash Monday afternoon in Belle Glade, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

A PBSO report said a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado was was traveling westbound on West Canal Street at a high rate of speed just before 1 p.m.  A 2007 Ford Fusion was also traveling westbound on W Canal Street in front of the Silverado.

The report said the Fusion was slowing down to turn left to travel north onto NW 13th Street as the Silverado was attempting to pass another vehicle.  

The Silverado attempted to re-enter the westbound lanes behind the Fusion, caused a violent collision.  

PBSO both the Silverado and Fusion rolled and left the road.

The driver of the Silverado had critical injuries and a passenger in the truck had serious injuries. A passenger in the Fusion, a toddler, had minor injuries. All three of these victims were taken to St. Mary's Medical Center via Trauma Hawk.

The driver of the Fusion was transported to Lakeside Medical Center with minor injuries..
