Deputies need the public’s help tracking down the person they say hit and killed a 65-year-old woman Saturday morning in Belle Glade.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said the woman was hit while crossing Canal Street N. and NW 2nd Avenue at 5:39 a.m.
The victim was identified Monday as Mercilia Seiole, but it's unclear if she is from the area.
PBSO said the car that hit her left the scene. They believe it was a dark-colored 2013 to 2015 Chevrolet Malibu.
Investigators said it will have extensive damage to the front passenger side, including the windshield.
