"I left Florida last Thursday. That was the last time I saw the sun," said Storm Chaser Jeff Gammons with Storm Visuals.

However, Texas is still on his mind.

"Probably the most prolonged rain event I've experienced," said Gammons.

He arrived in Texas as Harvey regenerated heading for the Gulf Coast.

Gammons was in Rockport when Harvey made landfall.

"That inner eye wall, we experienced some of the most intense winds," said Gammons. "Saw concrete block homes missing walls and roofs."

Then Jeff made his way to Houston.

"I went to bed with a dry parking lot, woke up with 6-7 feet of water outside the hotel."

It was there he saw something he hadn't seen since Katrina.

"You could see people coming out in trucks."

He also saw a community together.

"A lot of unity, everybody coming together," said Gammons.

Now he's reflecting on the past six days.

"Slow motion disaster over five days."
