MIAMI (AP) — A man and a woman are dead following a shooting at a gas station just off Florida's Turnpike south of Miami.
Miami-Dade police spokesman Argemis Colome tells news outlets that investigators don't believe the Thursday morning shooting was a random act. He didn't elaborate on the relationship between the shooter and the victims.
Colome says the shooter got out of a pickup truck and opened fire with a rifle before returning to his vehicle and waiting for police to arrive.
The shooter was being questioned by police Thursday morning. The names of the suspect and the victims haven't been released.
