Two separate accidents involving fireworks sent Broward County residents to local hospitals Sunday night after each lost multiple fingers as a result.
The first incident took place in Pompano Beach, where a man was rushed to the hospital after reportedly losing four fingers on his hand in an accident.

The second took place in Fort Lauderdale were officials say another man lost three fingers.
Law enforcement and Fire Rescue crews in both Miami-Dade and Broward continue to urge residents to practice safety during the July Fourth holiday, asking them to let professionals handle fireworks while also reminding them not to shoot off guns to celebrate Independence Day.
