Get out your fishing poles! There are two weekends in June where you can fish for free in Florida.
This Saturday and Sunday, June 4-5, is a license-free saltwater fishing weekend.
On June 11-12, it is a license-free freshwater fishing weekend.
On these days, the fishing license requirement is waived for all recreational anglers for both residents and non-residents of the state.
There are eight total license-free fishing days through FWC each year.
All other rules, including seasons, bag and size limits still apply.
