Police in Broward County made quite a catch on Wednesday, wrangling an 11-foot, 450-pound alligator that was lurking near two schools.
Davie police said the gator was spotted on a bike trail near Falcon Cove Middle School, located off Griffin Road and Bonaventure Boulevard.
The canal where the gator was caught is also located south of the school, which shares property with Cypress Bay High School.
