TITUSVILLE, Fla. (AP) — A Brevard County youth basketball coach wanted on a warrant concerning lewd and lascivious molestation was arrested in Texas while trying to flee to Mexico.

The Brevard County Sheriff's Office's said in a news release that the office's GameOver Task Force and the U.S. Marshals Service arrested 51-year-old David Wayne White on Friday at a Texas motel and booked him without incident.

The investigation began in February after a juvenile reported that White had engaged in inappropriate activities when the juvenile spent the night at White's Malabar home.

White, a youth basketball coach, frequently hosted sleepovers for his team members and friends of his children. White is being held in a Texas jail on $750,000 bond and is awaiting extradition to Brevard County. It's unclear if he has an attorney.
