ORLANDO, Fla. — Brightline, soon to be Virgin Trains USA, may eventually build a stop at Walt Disney World in Orlando, a company spokesperson confirms.
Ben Porritt, the Senior Vice President of Brightline, said the company is "exploring the possibility of building a station on Walt Disney World Resort property, which we believe will help transform the region."
Construction is already underway on a Brightline rail line from West Palm Beach to Orlando, which will take riders directly to Orlando International Airport.
"A Disney station would offer the 126 million visitors and 21 million residents of Florida a car-free option to the state’s most visited attraction and one of the world’s greatest destinations," Porritt said in a statement.
No timeline has been released about when a Walt Disney World stop could be built.
Earlier this month, city leaders in Boca Raton voted to move forward with building a Brightline train station in the city.
