POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- A Broward Sheriff's deputy struck a vehicle that had stopped in an HOV lane on Interstate 95.
The crash occurred early Monday near Pompano Beach.
Sheriff's spokeswoman Veda Coleman-Wright said in a news release that the deputy was traveling south in an unmarked vehicle. There was no word on why the other vehicle was stopped.
Pompano Beach Fire Rescue crews took the deputy and the two adults from the other vehicle to a hospital for treatment. Their conditions were not released.
Traffic was diverted off of I-95 near the crash site.
