FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — If you have a flight leaving from the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, you might experience an unusual delay Thursday morning.

All of the entrance roadways to the airport were closed for hours due to suspicious wires in a car, according to the Broward County Sheriff's Office.

Deputes were called at 1:10 a.m. regarding suspicious wires found in a vehicle parked on the upper level of the airport. BSO's Bomb Squad responded to the scene and determined that the wires were not a threat.

The airport says travelers are advised to check with their airline for the latest flight status before coming to the airport.

Dozens of flights out of FLL were delayed, according to Flightaware.com.
