Woman held at gunpoint, tied up during home-invasion robbery in Tamarac

TAMARAC, Fla. — Broward Sheriff's Office detectives are investigating a home-invasion robbery that was caught on camera Monday morning in Tamarac.

The incident occurred about 9 a.m. while the woman was leaving her home.

Surveillance video released Wednesday shows the woman getting into her sport utility vehicle when two armed men dressed in all black step out of a waiting Lexus SUV and run up to her from behind.

BSO spokesman Gerdy St. Louis said the gunmen forced her inside her home and then tied her up.

During the incursion, another woman approached the home, opened the door and said something in Creole. Ring video shows the woman wiping the handle with her shirt before returning to the getaway vehicle.

All three culprits left a short time later, getting away with about $2,700 worth of items.

Detectives said both men appeared to be wearing shiny plastic skull masks.
