Police are investigating the death of a child who was reportedly left in a car in southwest Miami-Dade Wednesday.
Sources told NBC 6 that officers were called to a parking lot in the area of Bird Road and 97th Avenue.
The sources said a child was transported from the area to Kendall Regional Hospital where they were pronounced dead.
A witness told NBC 6 that the mother left the child in a car for hours while she worked in a nearby salon. Police haven't confirmed that information.
