The Coast Guard is looking for a man who went missing from a boat near Miami Beach Friday night.
Officials said 22-year-old Tyron Robertson was on a 17-foot rental boat about 500 yards north of Belle Island when he entered the water and failed to resurface. Robertson's girlfriend reported him missing after they couldn't find him.
Coast Guard Station Miami Beach sent a 33-foot rescue boat and launched a helicopter to search for Robertson. Miami Beach Police, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and City of Miami Fire were assisting in the search.
The public was encouraged to remain vigilant while in the area.
