**UPDATE** Cape Coral Police say an EF2 tornado touched down in Cape Coral.
Officials say 9,500 power outages are down to 1,500 at this hour.
Cape Police Officers say there will be an additional 30 officers working tonight due to debris.
**PREVIOUS STORY** STORM PATROL -- A tornado has touched down in Cape Coral.
The tornado touched down near the intersection of Chiquita and Beach Parkway in SW Cape. The tornado touched down around 7 PM Saturday evening.
There are multiple reports of damaged homes, power lines, trees and cars.
A mobile home park on Pine Island was also damaged.
There are no reports of serious injuries as of right now.
