It is a big one. The biggest python captured since the current python eradication project conducted by the South Florida Water Management District.

"It is like Andre the Giant versus Hulk Hogan, Wrestlemania," said Dusty "Wildman" Crum.

It's a good payday for Crum who hunts the giant pythons.

The South Florida Water Management District pays hunters $8.10 per hour. But the incentives start at $50 for a four-foot long snake and $25 for each additional foot above.

Crum has a double payday -- $375 from the water district and about the same for selling the skin.

"What ya got Bobby? 16-10!"

"Whoo! 16-10, baby! Man, that's a big one! Biggest snake I ever caught in my life right there," Crum said.

The sixteen foot, 10-inch long snake is the biggest caught during this round of snake hunting but not the biggest ever. That's 18 feet two inches.

So, this one snake, does it make a difference? Absolutely 78 eggs taken.

"We're making a difference by taking the eggs out of the ecosystem," Crum said.

Hunters also receive an additional $100 for each eliminated python found guarding nests with eggs.
