The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity says its found two technical issues that may have kept people from getting their federal unemployment benefits.
On Tuesday, the DEO says people who requested that their claims be backdated were not included in recent payouts for federal money.
If this applies to you, you do not have to do anything. The DEO says you just need to continue to request benefits as long as you are still eligible.
The department says they hope to resolve the issue quickly.

The department also says other people did not get federal benefits during their "waiting week." If that's your case, you should get $600 within five business days.
With frustrations rising, U.S. Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer and Senator Ron Wyden requested the U.S. Department of Labor to investigate the FLDEO immediately saying, “Florida’s performance has proved uniquely poor” in helping folks get paid.
The letter, sent to DOL, also says since March 15, the state has only processed 20% of the nearly 2 million Florida residents who have applied for unemployment assistance.
